Iran seizes US Dive-LD underwater drone in Strait of Hormuz — IRGC

The drone has been in service with the US Navy since 2025

TEHRAN, September 8. /TASS/. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Navy has announced the seizure of a modern US Dive-LD autonomous underwater vehicle.

"One of the US army's most advanced unmanned underwater vehicles was intercepted at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz," the IRGC Navy stated, adding it was a Dive-LD autonomous underwater vehicle, which has been in service with the US Navy since 2025.

The IRGC released photographs of the captured vehicle.
