MOSCOW, December 10. /TASS/. The Russian military has ensured the safe regular rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Russian armed forces jointly with units of the National Guard Service ensured security during the 25th regular rotation of IAEA experts at the ZNPP. A ceasefire was declared from seven in the morning to seven in the evening along the entire route of the IAEA experts’ movement, from the designated starting point at the destroyed bridge near the settlement of Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye Region. The ceasefire was strictly observed by the Russian military," it said.
Before the IAEA experts began their movement, bomb specialists surveyed the area to make sure it was free from mines or the like. After the sweep, the Russian military escorted the three IAEA experts right to the ZNPP.
IAEA experts have been present at the ZNPP since September 1, 2022, after IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi’s first visit to the facility, the biggest nuclear plant in Europe.
