Opinion on US bio-programs is changing — Russian Defense Ministry

According to Igor Kirillov, the systemic expansion of the US military biological activity creates a security threat for Russia and other countries viewed by Washington as strategic adversaries

MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. A number of countries that earlier took a passive position on the US bio-programs is changing its viewpoint now because of data received regarding the development of bioweapon components in Ukraine in violation of the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC), Chief of Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov said.

"Many countries took a passive position on this issue due to the unprecedented pressure of Washington, but information received during the special military operation about the development of biological weapon components in the territory of Ukraine in violation of BTWC Articles 1 and 4 forces them to change their point of view," Kirillov said.
