Russia’s Lancet drones destroy much of Ukraine’s Western-made equipment, lawmaker says

According to deputy chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Dmitry Sablin, the Ukrainian army sees Lancet drone operators as its primary targets

DONETSK, January 2. /TASS/. Russia’s Lancet drones have burned down a significant part of the military equipment that the West provided to Ukraine, Dmitry Sablin, deputy chairman of the State Duma (the lower house of parliament) Defense Committee and commander of a drone brigade, told TASS.

"Thousands of armored vehicles have been burned down, particularly by Lancet drones. Almost all Western-made equipment that arrived [in Ukraine] after the start of the special military operation has been destroyed," Sablin said.

According to him, the Ukrainian army sees Lancet drone operators as its primary targets. However, the Kiev forces continue to suffer damage from Lancet loitering munitions despite attempts to attack drone operators.

Sablin added that Russian forces also used unmanned aerial vehicles to wipe out Ukrainian ammunition depots and command posts.
