Rostec reveals advantages of Russia’s Product 305E helicopter-launched missile

Product 305E has its advantages, giving it a high export potential

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russia’s Product 305E helicopter-launched air-to-surface missile has a number of advantages over its foreign rivals, according to High Precision Systems, a holding company within the Russian state-owned Rostec corporation.

"Product 305E has its advantages, giving it a high export potential. This includes a powerful warhead and the possibility to adjust the missile’s flight path," High Precision Systems has told TASS.

The Product 305 light guided missile was unveiled for the first time during the Army-2021 forum and entered service with the Russian armed forces in the same year. It is fired by Ka-52M and Ni-28NM helicopters. The flight range is 14,500 meters, well above the range of modern helicopter-launched guided weapons. The missile accelerates to 230 m/sec. It weighs 105 kg and carries a 25-kg high-power fragmentation warhead that can destroy fortifications and heavy armor. Product 305 is equipped with an optical homing warhead.
