Nuclear safety situation at ZNPP is precarious — IAEA

It is reported that the precarious nuclear safety and security situation was highlighted again yesterday

VIENNA, March 2. /TASS/. The nuclear safety situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant continues to be precarious due to the disconnection of the only remaining backup power line at the plant, International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said in a statement published on the organization’s website on Thursday.

"The precarious nuclear safety and security situation was highlighted again yesterday, when the ZNPP’s only remaining 330 kilovolt back-up power line was disconnected for a third time in less than a week, likely because of shelling on the other side of the Dnieper river," the statement said.
