Tor missile system awaits upgrade to boost fighting capability against drones — developer

Major attention is being paid to combating targets that have a low effective scattering area (EPR), the spokesman said

BANGALORE, February 16. /TASS/. The Tor family of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs) will be upgraded to improve their effectiveness against prospective unmanned aerial vehicles, an Almaz-Antey spokesman told TASS at the Aero India 2023 exhibition.

"The Tor family SAMs are capable of effectively detecting and striking UAVs of various modifications, even at low ranges and altitudes," the spokesman said.

"In the meantime, the designers of the Almaz-Antey Concern continue to work on modernizing the Tor family of SAMs to further improve its effectiveness against various targets, including promising UAVs," he said.
