Locals helped to find 90% of all Ukrainian arms caches in Zaporozhye — politician

According to the chairman of the movement "We are with Russia", they understand that only the Russian security forces and the Russian army provide their security

MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Around 90% of all arms caches, made by the Kiev forces in the Zaporozhye Region, have been uncovered with the help of local residents, said Vladimir Rogov, the leader of the We Are Together with Russia movement.

"90% of arms caches have been found only thanks to my fellow citizens, local residents of the Zaporozhye Region, who report all such facts [to the authorities] immediately after having learned about them," he told Radio Rossii in a broadcast on Tuesday.

"They understand perfectly well that their safety is ensured only by Russian law enforcement officers and the Russian armed forces," the activist added.

In a separate development, the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry said on Tuesday that the Russian police had destroyed over 60 grenades, found in Ukrainian arms caches in various districts of the Kherson Region in January.

"According to the police, the weapons were to be used by sabotage groups of the Ukrainian armed forces," the interior ministry’s press service told TASS.

"One controlled blast destroyed over 60 grenades and the same number of detonators, 20 rounds for under-barrel grenade launchers, four mines, three handheld grenade launchers and rounds for them, over 15 kilograms of gunpowder, TNT slabs, improvised explosive devices and other munitions".

All those munitions were found in various arms caches in the Kherson Region in January.
