MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Defense Ministry has delivered 946 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes to Ukraine and carried out 132 humanitarian missions in populated localities of the Zaporozhye, Kiev, Kharkov, Kherson and Chernigov regions as well as in the Donbass republics, Mikhail Mizintsev, the chief of the Russian National Defense Management Center and the chief of the interagency humanitarian response taskforce, said on Tuesday.
"At least 946 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes have been delivered to Ukraine, 132 humanitarian actions were carried out in the Zaporozhye, Kiev, Kharkov, Kherson and Chernigov regions, as well as in the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, including 22 humanitarian missions carried out in the past day. During them, 64 tonnes of basic necessities, medicines and food were handed out to civilians in liberated areas," he said.
Mizintsev added that 33 humanitarian events have been scheduled for Tuesday and are being carried out in the Kharkov and Kherson regions and in the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in order to hand out 481 tonnes of basic necessities, medicines and food to civilians.
