NEW YORK, July 8. /TASS/. Four police officers were killed and another seven were wounded during protests in Dallas (Texas) over shootings by police of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota, the city's police chief David Brown said in a statement on Friday.

Brown said two snipers shot the 11 from elevated positions during a protest. 

The person of interest has turned himself in. Another alleged suspect is also in custody.

During the past day, mass protest actions took place in most US large cities over the shooting by policemen of two black men.
