MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Ukraine plans to create a testing ground for evaluating demining technologies, including those utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), the Defense Ministry said.
"The Defense Ministry of Ukraine is working on creating a modern testing ground for testing new technologies used in mine clearance processes, including those using artificial intelligence," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
The ministry said this project is aimed at "testing innovations and exchanging expertise between Ukrainian and international partners."
Kiev does not conceal the fact that it serves as a testing ground for military technologies. In July 2023, Alexey Reznikov, the then Defense Minister, said that fighting had given the West the opportunity to see how their weapons worked, whether they needed modernization and adjustment. He called Ukraine "the best training ground for the global military industry."
Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told TASS in an interview that the West benefits from using Ukraine as a military training ground and a testing ground for weapons for a war with Russia.
After Russia launched its special military operation, the West sent billions of dollars worth of weapons to Kiev. However, Ukraine constantly insists on transferring even more weapons, including state-of-the-art ones.
