BERLIN, November 11. /TASS/. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has confirmed his intention to hold a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but stated that he does not plan to do so without coordinating it with partners.

"Yes, I am going to talk to the Russian president in due time," he said in an interview with the ARD TV channel. "But I will not do it unilaterally. It involves many contacts and negotiations with many people, which I have been actively pursuing for a long time," Scholz added. When asked when the conversation might take place, he said it is expected "in the near future."
