West's stubbornness in Ukraine pushes world toward military catastrophe — politician

Viktor Medvedchuk noted that the European public is still being told that soldiers from EU countries will not be sent to Ukraine, but "it is clear that they are now aligning themselves politically with this process"

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Not wanting to let Ukraine lose the conflict with Russia, the West is dragging more countries into the fray, primarily European ones, bringing the world dangerously close to a military catastrophe, the former leader of the banned party "Opposition Platform - For Life" in Ukraine, Viktor Medvedchuk, who now heads the movement "Another Ukraine," wrote in his author's column on the media platform "Smotrim.ru."

"If the collective West continues to assert its right to global dominance, Ukraine’s human capital will not be enough in any case. Where will the soldiers come from? The answer is obvious - Central Europe, Scandinavia, the Balkans. They will be next to take up arms. But there won't be enough of them either, so the rest of Europe will have to join in," he pointed out.

Medvedchuk noted that the European public is still being told that soldiers from EU countries will not be sent to Ukraine, but "it is clear that [they] are now aligning themselves politically with this process." The politician explained that Kiev already lacks resources, both human and material, to continue the conflict, so "if we continue the policy of war to the bitter end, sooner or later foreign troops will have to be introduced." "And most likely, [we will be] looking at a nuclear strike eventually," he added.

However, Medvedchuk does not rule out that countries outside Europe could become involved if the conflict expands. "It is clear that the Arab world is being drawn into the war, and after that, China and India will also be involved, as they do not have issues with soldiers," he added.

Medvedchuk hopes that there are still some politicians in the West with a little common sense. "But the question is what comes first - sensible Western politicians replacing war priests and ideologues of US hegemony, or these war priests destroying both sensible politicians in Europe and common sense altogether," concluded the politician.
