IDF reports striking about 230 targets in Gaza Strip over 24 hours

It also noted that Israeli troops searched one of the schools in the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip "and located numerous weapons"

TEL AVIV, December 21. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has attacked about 230 facilities in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, the army press service said in a statement.

"Over the last day, approximately 230 terror targets were struck by IDF aircraft in the Gaza Strip," the statement published on the IDF official Telegram channel said. The press service reported air strikes on militants in Khan Yunis, a city in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and at the Al-Shati Palestinian refugee camp in northern Gaza.

"During Israeli Navy activity overnight, the forces struck vessels designated for use by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip," the press service added.

It also noted that Israeli troops searched one of the schools in the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip "and located numerous weapons."

Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 when militants from the Gaza-based Palestinian radical group Hamas staged a surprise incursion into Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. In response, Israel has declared a state of war readiness; announced a total blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million Palestinians; and began delivering air strikes on the enclave and certain parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are underway in the West Bank as well.
