Six Palestinians killed in Israeli military raid on Far’a refugee camp — news agency

BEIRUT, December 8. /TASS/. Special units of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a raid on the Far’a Palestinian refugee camp in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of six residents with dozens more wounded, the WAFA news agency reported.

According to the agency, IDF soldiers entered the camp early in the morning after blocking its entrances from all sides, and snipers took up positions on the rooftops of houses. At least six people were killed and dozens wounded in clashes that erupted after separate groups of camp residents resisted the actions of the occupation forces. It is not yet known how many supporters of the radical Palestinian groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad were arrested during the raid.

The Far’a refugee camp, home to 7,000 refugees, is located two kilometers south of the town of Tubas and 17 kilometers northeast of Nablus in the West Bank.

Earlier in the day, 18 Palestinians were injured in clashes west of Bethlehem, two of them are listed in critical condition. On Friday night, the IDF also carried out raids in Sanjar, Tulkarm, Hebron and a number of other locations.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank alone since the military escalation began on October 7 has risen in recent days to 265 victims.
