WASHINGTON, November 28. /TASS/. The US believes that the North Korean reconnaissance satellite was brought into near-earth orbit, Pentagon Spokesman Patrick Ryder said during a briefing.

"We are aware that [the satellite] did enter into orbit and that it involved ballistic missile technology," Ryder said, without providing any further details.

He said he has no information on whether the North Korean satellite took photos of the White House or the Pentagon.
