NEW YORK, October 25. /TASS/. Western countries should stop senselessly sacrificing Ukrainians in the conflict with Russia, find a peaceful solution to the conflict and restore normal relations with Moscow, US businessman Elon Musk said on his X (formerly known as Twitter) social network.

"And what is actually happening? Well, a lot of the flower of Ukrainian youth is being sacrificed in the trenches for essentially no territorial gains," he said. "I think we need to figure out peace in Ukraine, and I think we need to restore normal relations with Russia," the entrepreneur pointed out.

The businessman also noted that the prolongation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine also carries civilizational risks for the United States, increasing the danger of the outbreak of World War III.

The Ukrainian army has been making unsuccessful offensive attempts since June 4. On October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that Kiev had lost over 90,000 servicemen and more than 550 tanks in four months. On October 15, Putin said that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had completely failed, although Kiev was preparing new active offensive operations in some parts of the line of engagement.
