MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 12,046 over the past day to 22,454,933, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Wednesday.
A day earlier, 9,526 daily cases were recorded.
As many as 1,691 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 8.1% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 39 regions, while in 39 other regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in seven regions. A day earlier, 1,840 people were rushed to hospitals.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,373 over the past day versus 1,411 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,450,287, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,221 over the past day versus 1,137 a day earlier, reaching 1,897,297.
COVID-19 recoveries
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 14,089 over the past day, reaching 21,806,101, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Wednesday.
A day earlier some 12,406 patients recovered.
COVID-19 death toll
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 32 over the past day, reaching 396,696, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Wednesday.
A day earlier 44 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
