Russian version of peace treaty may serve as groundwork for talks with Baku — Armenian PM

The sides discussed the results of the Sochi meeting between the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders, the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process and issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem

YEREVAN, November 14. /TASS/. Moscow’s proposals could serve as a basis for further talks with Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Monday at a meeting with the Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Russian foreign minister’s special envoy, Igor Khovaev.

"Nikol Pashinyan noted that, as he had already said publicly, Armenia supports the proposals advanced by the Russian side back in August, which may serve as a basis for further talks on the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," the press service of the Armenian government said.

The sides discussed the results of the Sochi meeting between the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian leaders, the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process and issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, the press service said.

The three leaders met in Sochi on October 31. The Russia-initiated meeting yielded a joint statement. Russian President Vladimir Putin said back then that several passages had been excluded from the preliminary text and that work on unresolved issues would continue in private.
