Western arms deliveries will lead to more losses for Ukraine — diplomat

This will lead to the spread of the very same weapons to the European countries, including those that are now supplying them, Maria Zakharova noted

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Arms deliveries from other countries will lead to even greater losses for Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on Thursday.

The diplomat cited a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who said that his country was receiving more and more weapons from its partners every day. "This will lead to even more losses for Ukraine. This will lead to the spread of the very same weapons to the European countries, including those that are now supplying them," Zakharova stressed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation. The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories. After that the US, the EU, the UK and a number of other states announced that they would impose sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals.
