PALERMO /Italy/, November 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and other participants of the international conference on Libya held a preliminary meeting ahead of the plenary session, at which they shared their views on the settlement of the situation in this country. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters that the meeting lasted more than two hours.
"Each participant outlined his country’s approach (to the settlement of the crisis,) Dmitry Medvedev outlined Russia’s position on the way unity in the country should be provided," the diplomat said.
"Head of Libya's Government of National Accord Fayez al-Sarraj and commander of the Libyan National Army Khalifa Haftar took part in this meeting," he said.
The negotiations were also attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi, France’s Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and President of the European Council Donald Tusk.
