OTTAWA, January 3. /TASS/. Russian national squad beat the United States in a quarterfinal game at the IIHF World Junior Championship which is being held in Canada. So, Russia qualified for semifinals of the tournament, after defeating 3-2 (2-0, 0-1, 1-1) U.S. national team.

A winner of a quarterfinal match between Sweden and Finland will play with Russia in a semifinal game.
