On February 14, another two children returned to Russia from Ukraine through the mediation of Qatar and Russian Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova

DOHA, February 26. /TASS/. Qatar will continue its mediation work to help children from Russia and Ukraine reunite with their families, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following his visit to Doha.

"This work will continue; we were clearly informed about it today. We always welcome the initiatives that the countries of the region put forward in good faith," he pointed out.

"Today, we once again expressed our gratitude to the emir, the foreign minister and prime minister for the efforts they have been making in a pragmatic manner, without hyping them up, to help resolve humanitarian issues between Russia and Ukraine, which primarily concern the return of children to their families," the top Russian diplomat added.

On February 14, another two children returned to Russia from Ukraine through the mediation of Qatar and Russian Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova. She has so far helped a total of 17 children from 11 families reunite with their loved ones in Russia and assisted 95 kids from 75 families in reuniting with their relatives in Ukraine and other countries.
