Conclave wins BAFTA for best film

The film won four of the twelve awards for which it was nominated

LONDON, February 17. /TASS/. German director Edward Berger's Conclave has won the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) in the Best Film category, according to the broadcast of the 78th BAFTA ceremony.

The film won four of the twelve awards for which it was nominated: Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Adapted Screenplay and Editing.

Brady Corbet's The Brutalist also won four awards: Best Director, Actor (Adrien Brody), Cinematography and Original Score. Jacques Audiard's Emilia Perez was named Best Film Not in the English Language.

Russia’s Yura Borisov did not win a BAFTA in the Supporting Actor category; the award went to Kieran Culkin for his role in A Real Pain. However, Anora, in which Borisov starred, won two BAFTAs: Leading Actress and Casting.
