MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has apprehended three Russian nationals for plotting terror attacks on railways in the Sverdlovsk Region in the Urals for a money reward from Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, the FSB press office reported on Wednesday.
"The Federal Security Service of Russia has apprehended three Russian citizens complicit in plotting and committing terror attacks at railway infrastructure facilities in the Sverdlovsk Region for a money reward on an assignment from Ukrainian Neo-Nazis," the press office said.
During searches at the suspects’ residence, FSB operatives seized crime instruments, paraphernalia of a Ukrainian Neo-Nazi armed formation and means of communication with charts indicating the location of facilities of the Russian Railways branch in the Sverdlovsk Region, it said.
FSB investigators have opened criminal cases against the apprehended individuals under article 205 ("Terror Act") and article 205.1 ("Assistance in Terrorist Activity") of Russia’s Criminal Code that stipulate criminal liability ranging from 12 years to life in prison, the FSB press office said.
