MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. The Moscow City Court on Monday upheld the arrest of three Khachaturian sisters accused of killing their father Mikhail, a TASS correspondent reports.

The eldest sister, Krestina, told court on Monday she repented her father’s killing which she committed together with her two other sisters.

"After the crime we called the police ourselves. I repent what I’ve done," she said. The prosecutor told the court that the case contained evidence confirming the man’s sexual violence against his daughters.

The defense of the Khachaturian sisters earlier said there were no reasons why they should plead guilty and would insist the charges should be reworded "closer towards self-defense."

Angelina Khachaturian’s lawyer, Alexei Parshin, said "the Khachaturian sisters pled guilty but that happened without the participation of our group of lawyers."

"After studying the case the defense lawyers found no reasons for homicide charges. We will insist on re-interpreting the case as self-defense," he said.

The investigators have accused three Khachaturian sisters with killing their 57-year-old father, whose body with multiple stab wounds in the neck and chest was found in an apartment in Moscow on July 27. When questioned, the young women pled guilty and explained that they had reasons for hostility towards their father, because he had caused them moral suffering for a long time. According to some media, the man was very strict with his daughters and allowed them to leave the apartment only to go to school and to do shopping. Some neighbors said the killed man kept weapons at home.

On August 2, Moscow’s Ostankino court arrested the three sisters till September 28 on murder charges.
