MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. It is important to speed up the creation of a national low-orbit satellite constellation, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
Development of satellite communications being indispensable in hard-to-reach areas is critical, the prime minister said. Its market gained 5% last year and reached 150,000 small stations, he noted.
Implementation of key satellite services required for development of territories and infrastructure "will help to stimulate such promising industries as robotics, data economy and self-driving transport. Certainly, it is very important to speed up the creation of the domestic low-orbit satellite constellation and upgrade existing communication and broadcasting satellites at a geostationary orbit," the Prime Minister added.
