Russia calls on Denmark to check for presence of another bomb at Nord Stream — Putin

Moscow has yet to receive an unambiguous response, Russian President said

ULAN-UDE, March 14. /TASS/. Russia has called on Denmark to check whether there may be another explosive device at the Nord Stream gas pipeline, but has yet to receive an unambiguous response, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

According to the Russian leader, a Gazprom vessel has spotted a column-or pillar-like object at a pipe joint some 30 kilometers from the terror attack site, which could potentially be an antenna for activating another bomb.

"And, naturally, we would like to obtain permission from the Danish authorities to examine the site, either independently or jointly with them, or, even better, by assembling an international group of experts and bomb specialists who could work at such depths. And, to deactivate the explosive device, if there really is one there," Putin said in an interview with the Rossiya-1 television channel.

"But the Danish authorities responded to our inquiry by saying that they would have to think it over and will respond when they deem it appropriate. A rather vague response," he added.
