MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 cases continue declining, and in the past seven days the country recorded 10.5% fewer cases than the week before, according to TASS estimates based on the anti-coronavirus crisis center’s data.
From February 8 to 14, the crisis center reported 104,602 COVID-19 cases versus 116,842 in the previous seven days. Furthermore, Moscow confirmed 12,454 coronavirus cases, 8.8% fewer than from February 1 to 7.
Russia’s number of recoveries rose by 136,891 compared to 156,206 a week before. It exceeds the number of infected for the fifth week in a row.
The share of those who recovered from COVID-19 is growing - last Sunday it was 87.1%, while today it hit 88.2%.
The number of the so-called active cases (patients, receiving treatment at the moment) dropped by 35,754 in seven days to 398,656, according to the Russian crisis center’s data. It was below 400,000 for the first time since November 4.
The COVID-19 death toll remained almost at the same level as last week. From February 8 to 14, the crisis center registered 3,465 deaths, while from February 1 to 7 - 3,479. Meanwhile, the mortality rate rose from 1.93% to 1.97% amid the declining incidence rate.
