MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu met in Moscow with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, a TASS correspondent reported.
The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of security, with particular attention given to current developments in Serbia.
The previous meeting between Shoigu and Vulin took place in February, during which they discussed "the advancement of bilateral security cooperation and the current situation in Serbia". At the same time, the Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to provide support to the "brotherly people of Serbia" in maintaining stability.
Following the collapse of a structure at the Novi Sad railway station in Serbia on November 1, 2024, anti-government protests erupted across the country and have continued ever since. Protesters hold the authorities responsible for the tragedy. Against the backdrop of these demonstrations, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that a color revolution akin to Kiev’s Maidan would not take place in Serbia.
