MELITOPOL, February 21. /TASS/. Russian units have taken half of the settlement of Pyatikhatki in the Kamenka direction in western Zaporozhye Region under their control, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of a Russian Civic Chamber committee, told TASS.

"Regarding Pyatikhatki: our troops have entered this settlement and have gained control over half of the village through offensive operations, establishing a foothold there," he said.

The politician noted that the advances of the Russian army were preceded by aerial and artillery strikes against the Ukrainian positions.
