MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said it is necessary to ensure the technological leadership of the Collective Security Treaty Organization states in the defense sphere.

"In the current adverse international situation it is important to ensure the technological leadership of the member-countries in the defense sphere," Putin pointed out at a meeting with the heads of the CSTO countries’ parliaments.

Putin urged the legislators to pay attention to supporting military-technical and military-economic cooperation.

"It is necessary to work together on the issues of standardization of armaments and military equipment, development of multilateral cooperation between specific enterprises and entire branches in one way or another related to the defense sphere," he stressed.
