Leaders of Russia, China scheduled to meet at SCO, BRICS summits in 2024 — Lavrov

It is noted that the two top diplomats also signed off an a plan of holding more meetings under the auspices of the two countries’ foreign ministries, while intergovernmental commissions will convene five meetings this year

BEIJING, April 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping plan to meet on the sidelines of a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in June and a BRICS summit in October, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced at a news conference following talks with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.

Wang and I discussed "coming meetings between our leaders on the sidelines of international venues, including a BRICS summit to be held in Kazan in October, and a SCO summit [coming] in Astana in June," Lavrov said. According to him, the two leaders may also hold other meetings, too, "to maintain regular political dialogue."

On April 8-9, he is staying on an official visit in Beijing.
