Russia urges Singapore to revise joining illegal anti-Russia sanctions — MFA

Russian approaches to development of the situation around Ukraine were explained in complete detail, the ministry noted

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and Permanent Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Singapore Albert Chua have had a meeting, at which Russia urged its Singaporean partners to revise the present line of joining illegal anti-Russia sanctions.

"A wide range of relevant issues of bilateral agenda was discussed with the focus on practical cooperation issues," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. "We urged the Singaporean partners to revise the present line of joining illegal anti-Russia sanctions, which is the main impediment to boosting Russian-Singaporean cooperation in various areas," the ministry added.

There has been good exchange on the key international and regional topics, including the environment in the Asian-Pacific region and the Palestine-Israeli conflict. Moreover, Russian approaches to development of the situation around Ukraine were explained in complete detail, the ministry noted.

The meeting took place on April 1 in Singapore.
