BEIJING, December 19. /TASS/. Building the relationship between Moscow and Beijing is in the long-term interests of both parties, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the 28th regular meeting of the Russian and Chinese heads of government.

He drew attention to the words of Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, that relations between Russia and China are at a high point in their history. "Their further strengthening meets the long-term interests of both countries. We have a special model of interstate cooperation, it is based on mutually respectful, equal, trusting dialogue," Mishustin pointed out.

Joint work in such important areas is carried out under the strategic guidance of the heads of state, the Russian prime minister added. He recalled that Putin and Xi Jinping have held two meetings this year.

Addressing Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, Mishustin noted that he himself was sincerely glad to visit Beijing again and meet in person. "After a break, which was caused by the difficult epidemiological situation, we have resumed the face-to-face work of this important mechanism," the Russian prime minister said.
