MOSCOW, January 19. /TASS/. Russia has indefinitely banned entry to 31 New Zealand’s officials and journalists as a tit-for-tat measure, according to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry published on Thursday.

"In response to new sanctions by New Zealand’s government against Russian private individuals and legal entities introduced within the framework of a Russophobic campaign by the collective West, the entry to our country is being blocked indefinitely for 31 more New Zealanders from among government officials, journalists and public figures involved in promoting the anti-Russian agenda and supporting the Kiev regime," the diplomatic agency noted.

For instance, the list includes Ron Stanley Mark who served as New Zealand’s defense minister in 2017-2022.

The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that given that official Wellington intends to continue its anti-Russian policy and introduce new sanctions, work on updating the Russian stop-list will continue.
