Ukraine as a state has ‘big problems,’ Kremlin spokesman says

According to Dmitry Peskov, "nothing good will come out of it"

MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. Ukraine as a state has "big problems," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday, but refrained from commenting on the remarks made by Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev regarding the perspectives of Ukraine’s statehood.

"I’d rather refrain from commenting on this message," the spokesman told reporters, when asked to provide an assessment to the opinion Medvedev expressed in his Telegram channel.

"However, we do know that Ukraine has big problems. It is a very well-known fact, and yes, it can be stated; the most important thing is that nationalist units continue to resist, and Ukrainian authorities remain not ready and unwilling to discuss these nationalist militias and take a sober look at the situation," Peskov explained.

According to the spokesman, "nothing good will come out of it."

Earlier on Wednesday, Medvedev published a post in his Telegram channel, saying that he saw a news report that Ukraine wants to by American liquefied natural gas with payments delayed for 2 years. Medvedev expressed his doubts that Ukraine as a state will even exist on the map in this time.
