Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastyrkin has held a meeting in Mariupol to look into crimes, committed by Ukrainian forces during their military operations

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Russia’s Investigative Committee is stepping up efforts to identify Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen and "Azov battalion" militants, who surrendered in Mariupol, the committee’s press service told reporters on Friday.

"It is necessary to step up efforts to establish the identity of people, who surrendered" in Mariupol, identify their status, look into their possible involvement in crimes against civilians and violations of international humanitarian law, the committee said.
