Number of victims in a bus accident in Samara region rises to 15

According to preliminary data, the bus was registered in Kazakhstan and was carrying citizens of Uzbekistan to Nizhny Novgorod

SAMARA, April 8. /TASS/. The number of injured as a result of a bus overturning on the Ural-Mukhanovo highway in the Samara region has risen to 15, law enforcement agencies told TASS.

On Monday night, the driver of a Scania bus lost control and drove into a ditch. Earlier, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported that two people died and another 10 were taken to the hospital.

According to preliminary data, the bus was registered in Kazakhstan and was carrying citizens of Uzbekistan to Nizhny Novgorod.

"There were 66 people on the bus. Two people died. 15 were taken to hospital," the agency’s source said.
