US, Israeli aggression threatens global energy security, says Iranian president

Masoud Pezeshkian added that the summit was taking place amid significant geopolitical shifts that pose serious challenges to global energy security

MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. US and Israeli military aggression against Iran has jeopardized global energy security and economic stability by damaging the country’s energy infrastructure, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Moscow.

"The US and the Israeli regime have twice launched military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran amid ongoing political negotiations. This regrettable and dangerous development threatens global security. By destroying Iran’s energy infrastructure and disrupting energy transportation, these actions have put global energy security and the economy at risk," Pezeshkian said.

He added that the summit was taking place amid significant geopolitical shifts that pose serious challenges to global energy security.
