Russian electricity exports down 12.8% in 2025, Inter RAO says

Electricity imports surged by 19.2% annually to 2.3 bln kWh last year

MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. Russian electricity exports tumbled 12.8% to 7.435 bln kWh last year, said Inter RAO, the single Russian operator of electric power exports and imports.

Electricity imports surged by 19.2% annually to 2.3 bln kWh last year.

Kazakhstan and Mongolia accounted for the greater share of export supplies in 2025, the company said. The increase in imports was predominantly driven by flows from Kazakhstan.
