WASHINGTON, January 30. /TASS/. The White House is requiring that companies supplying Venezuelan oil to countries apart from the United States report their transactions to Washington, a general license released by the US Treasury Department states.
The document allows American entities to engage in activities related to the production, supply, and refining of Venezuelan oil. It specifies that "any person that exports, reexports, sells, resells, or supplies Venezuelan-origin oil to countries other than the United States pursuant to this general license must provide a detailed report" to the US State Department and Department of Energy.
The reports must include the parties involved in each transaction, the dates, the price of the oil, and its final destination. The US requires these reports within 10 days of the transaction and "every 90 days thereafter while such transactions are ongoing."
