LONDON, March 19. /TASS/. The United Kingdom is working with its allies on searching for a legal mechanism to confiscate sovereign Russian assets but this is not "straightforward," Prime Minister Keir Starmer said.
"On the wider question of the assets, it is complicated. But we are working with others to see what is possible. But it is not straightforward," Starmer said, answering questions of members of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament.
The Times said earlier that about $30 bln of assets of the Central Bank of Russia were frozen in the United Kingdom after the start of the special military operation in Ukraine.
