RTS index gains more than 10% after exchange rates publication by Bank of Russia

The Bank of Russia lowered the official dollar rate by 1.08 rubles to 102.3438 rubles for December 21-23, 2024

MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The RTS Index surged by 10.86% to 810.07 points after the Central Bank had posted the exchange rates for the weekend, according to Moscow Exchange data.

The MOEX Russia Index had an upsurge by 9.7% to 2,650.89 points.

The Bank of Russia lowered the official dollar rate by 1.08 rubles to 102.3438 rubles for December 21-23, 2024. The euro and yuan rates were also reduced respectively by 1.41 rubles to 106.5444 rubles and by twenty kopecks to 13.9897 rubles.
