RAS AL-KHAIMAH, December 6. /TASS/. Serbia plans to reach an agreement with Hungary on the project of the oil pipeline between the countries for a connection to the Druzhba oil pipeline next year, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin said.
"I expect the agreement with Hungary to the reached quickly. As you know we have a project of this oil pipeline and we already work on approval by the Hungarian side. We hope to reach an agreement with Hungary next year," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.
The new oil pipeline between Hungary and Serbia for a connection to the Druzhba oil pipeline will be built by 2026, the Russian oil pipeline operator Trannseft said earlier in its corporate magazine.
The new branch pipeline will be connected to the Druzhba oil pipeline. The pipeline may be around 300 kilometers long, with its capacity reaching at least 5 mln tons per year.
Russian Economic Development Minister Maksim Reshetnikov said earlier that Russia and Serbia had agreed on preparing joint oil transport infrastructure on Serbian territory.
