Gazprom, Kazakhstan agree on terms for processing Karachaganak gas

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on the main terms of processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field for 2025-2026, the Russian holding said in a statement.

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar held a working meeting on Monday, where they discussed the progress and prospects of cooperation in particular, in the sphere of gas supplies and transportation.

"An agreement was signed at the meeting on the main conditions for processing and selling gas from the Karachaganak field in 2025-2026," Gazprom said.

Sklyar ealier said that Kazakhstan will process gas from the field in the West Kazakhstan region at Gazprom's Orenburg gas processing plant.

In November 2023, Gazprom and Kazakhstan signed a strategic cooperation agreement covering gas supplies, transportation, processing, and production.
