YEKATERINBURG, November 15. /TASS/. First concrete pouring at the Paks-2 nuclear power plant (NPP) in Hungary will start in the middle of the first quarter of 2025, CEO of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev told reporters.
"Our contract deadline is the first quarter [of 2025]," Likhachev said. "This is the transition from the initial phase, from the preparatory phase to the systemic construction plan. This is the start of concrete pouring for the reactor unit foundation site. I think that in the middle and not at the end of the first quarter," Likhachev said.
First concrete pouring of the Paks-2 NPP foundation may be in January or February 2025, Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said earlier.
