MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Oil resources were booked in 2023 in the amount of 1.4 bln metric tons, head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use Evgeny Petrov said at the meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"We have the incremental growth of reserves for the third year in a row so far. Last year, we booked 1,400 mln metric tons of oil and 1,600 bln cubic meters of gas. The results are significant - incremental growth by 20% against the last year," Petrov said.
Forty-three oil and gas fields were booked by the government within the framework of the distributed subsoil fund last year, the official said. In 2023, 168 solid mineral deposits were discovered, including 142 goldfields, he added.
