Russian government to ban gasoline exports from March 1

The gasoline export ban will not cover supplies within the framework of international intergovernmental activities, fuel taken by individuals abroad for personal use and international humanitarian aid

MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. The Russian Cabinet introduces a temporary ban on gasoline exports from March 1 to August 31 of this year and increases the standard values of diesel fuel sales in commodity exchange trading from 12.5% to 16%, the government said on its Telegram channel.

Relevant decrees have already been signed. "Decisions made are aimed at supporting the stable situation in the fuel market during the high season related to spring field operations, the vacations season and the scheduled turnaround at refineries," the Cabinet informed.
