MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Yandex has ranked in first place for the sixth year in a row in a rating of the most expensive companies in the Runet, or Russian segment of the Internet, published by Forbes magazine, which said the Russian tech giant's value amounted to $12.5 bln.
The No. 2 spot in the rating went to online retailer Wildberries, which was valued at $7.2 bln, with its competitor, Ozon, taking third place at a value of $7 bln. Online marketplace Avito took fourth place with a value of $3.4 bln.
Also the most highly valued Runet companies according to the magazine were 1C ($2.8 bln), Kaspersky Lab ($2.1 bln), HeadHunter ($1.9 bln), VK ($1.8 bln), Positive Technologies ($1.6 bln) and SKB Kontur ($1.4 bln).
In total, the rating includes 30 companies that generate revenue on the Internet. Their value was assessed as of February 1, 2024. Forbes requested financial indicators and calculated the value of the companies against comparable public company counterparts. Also, estimates and data on the companies' stock transactions from financial analysts were taken into account.
